Yes there is property tax in Mexico but by international standards it is very cheap. Our studio suites that were purchased for $60,000 USD or less paid an average of $150 USD/year in 2010 property tax.  The current property tax is 0.65% (just more than a half percent) of the assessed value.

If AcaCondos is actively managing your property we will pay the property tax for you every year and debit your account with us for the amount. If you are living in your suite fulltime and not using our management service then you can pay your property tax every January directly with the condo manager in the office located inside the resort.
